Job summary

Presbyterian System Services at Lincoln County Medical Center in Ruidoso, NM seeks a Coordinator-Food Service to direct kitchen service activities and coordinate with hospital departments. Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Dietary Management.
• 3 years of application specific experience.
• 3 years of additional experience can substitute for degree.

Responsibilities

• Prepares work schedules, assigns personnel, evaluates work performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions.
• Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, and safety standards.
• Prepares written documentation as required by the profession and the department.
• Coordinates loading, delivery, and pickup of food carts on schedule.
• Directs maintenance of department facilities, equipment, supplies, and materials in a condition to promote efficiency, health, comfort, and safety of patients and staff.
• Directs procurement of all food and supplies for the department
• Attends department head meetings, pharmacy and therapeutic committee meetings, safety committee meetings, and attends and participates on committees as directed.
• Plans and implements inservice education for staff development and provides nutrition education to patients and outpatients in the community as needed.
• Selects, orients, trains, and evaluates department personnel.
• Maintains appropriate department records.
