Responsibilities

• Prepare foods and beverages for patients.
• Follow established guidelines, recipes, and production sheets for food preparation.
• Label, date, and store foods properly according to procedures.
• Follow proper food handling techniques (gloves, handwashing, hair covering).
• Set up food and supplies in sufficient quantity to cover service requirements; restock as needed.
• Check daily menu needs and complete advance preparation for the next day.
• Help reduce cost by minimizing waste and overproduction; use leftovers thoughtfully.
• Promptly report shortages, outdated items, or products in unacceptable condition.
