HCA Florida Palms West Hospital is seeking a Food & Nutrition Services Assistant to support patient meal service and related kitchen duties. You will prepare foods and beverages for patients, follow recipes and production sheets, and ensure proper labeling and storage while observing strict food safety standards.

You will also help maintain adequate inventories, assist with dishroom tasks, and contribute to cost control by reducing waste in a collaborative hospital environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Some kitchen experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare various foods and beverages for patients.
• Follow guidelines, recipes, and production sheets.
• Label, date, and store foods properly according to procedures.
• Follow proper food handling techniques and hygiene practices.
• Set up food and supplies in adequate quantities and restock as needed.
• Check daily menu needs and prepare for the next day.
• Help reduce costs by minimizing waste and overproduction.
• Report shortages or items received in poor condition.
• Assist with cleaning and dish room duties.
