You will prepare foods, follow recipes, label and store items properly, and ensure safe food handling practices. This role emphasizes cost awareness and teamwork within a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Some kitchen experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare various foods and beverages for patients.
• Follow guidelines, recipes, and production sheets to portion foods.
• Label, date, and store foods properly.
• Follow proper food handling techniques (gloves, handwashing, etc.).
• Set up food and supplies in advance to cover service requirements.
• Check daily menu needs and complete advance preparation for the next day.
• Help reduce costs by minimizing waste and overproduction.
• Utilize leftovers cost-effectively.
• Report shortages or expired items promptly.
