Job summary

Alan B. Miller Medical Center in Palm Beach Gardens, FL, is seeking a per diem Food Service Worker to prepare, deliver and retrieve patient meals, ensuring quality service for patient health.

The role may include duties in retail areas, dishwashing, floor cleaning, and other tasks as assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, preferred healthcare experience, and knowledge of food preparation and ServSafe or food handler safety certification within 30

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of proper food preparation, handling and storage.
• ServSafe and/or food handler safety card required within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to work and cooperate with hospital staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, deliver and retrieve patient trays and ensure accurate setup and delivery of patient meals.
• May work in retail areas (Food Server/Cashier) or perform dishwasher and floor cleaning duties.
• Follow supervisor instructions and perform additional tasks as assigned.
