Job summary

Griffin Memorial Hospital in Oklahoma is seeking a Fire Prevention & Safety Officer to inspect buildings and grounds for fire hazards, enforce applicable laws, and provide security for state facilities and people on site.

Two full-time shifts are available (6:30am–5:00pm and 1:00pm–11:30pm); Level I and Level II pay scales, non-exempt status, and willingness to travel plus a valid driver’s license are required. Physical requirements include lifting up to 60 pounds.

Qualifications

• Patrol premises to identify and correct fire hazards.
• Assist employees and visitors; direct traffic and provide security.
• Must be willing to travel as required and hold a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Inspect buildings and grounds for elimination of fire hazards.
• Enforce applicable laws, rules and regulations.
• Provide security and protection for state property, employees, visitors and others.
