Job summary

The Children’s Recovery Center of Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma is seeking a Fire Prevention and Security Officer to join their team. This position includes inspecting buildings for fire hazards, enforcing applicable laws, and providing security for staff, visitors and state property.

Typical duties involve patrolling premises, directing traffic, and supporting the protection of state property. Night shifts (8, 10, 12 hour) and weekend work are required; two salary levels apply: Level I $29,500

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older per DHS requirements.
• F&S Level I: No education/experience required.
• F&S Level II: Completion of a basic security course and 2 years of security or fire prevention experience.

Responsibilities

• Inspect buildings/grounds to eliminate fire hazards and enforce laws.
• Patrol assigned premises and correct fire hazards.
• Provide security for employees, visitors and state property; direct traffic as needed.
