The Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services seeks a Fire Prevention & Safety Officer for Griffin Memorial Hospital. You will inspect facilities for fire hazards, enforce applicable laws, and provide security coordination to protect state property, staff and visitors.
Typical duties include patrolling premises to identify hazards, directing traffic, assisting staff and visitors, and supporting safety operations.
About the Position: Incumbents are assigned responsibilities, involving the inspection of buildings and grounds for elimination of fire hazards, enforcement of laws, rules and regulations and providing security at Griffin Memorial Hospital.
Typical work duties may include patrolling assigned premises to identify and correct fire hazards; providing assistance to employees or visitors; directing traffic; and performing other duties related to the protection of state property, employees, visitors and others.
Level I: No requisite education and experience are required for consideration.
Level II: Completion of a basic security and/or firefighter's course, and2 years of experience in security or fire prevention and protection work
