Job summary

St. Luke’s University Health Network is seeking a Maintenance Technician to inspect, test, maintain, install, repair, and modify hospital systems, equipment, and structures on site at Allentown, PA.

You will work with supervisors and staff to ensure optimum patient care and a safe, efficient facility. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least three years of trades experience; possession of a valid state driver’s license is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three years of experience in trades in a hospital/engineering setting preferred.
• Valid state motor vehicle license; technical school cert may substitute for up to 18 months experience.

Responsibilities

• Inspects, tests, maintains, installs, repairs, and modifies hospital systems, equipment, and structures.
• Coordinates work with supervisor and other craftsmen as needed to complete tasks.
• Communicates with nursing staff and management to ensure patient care and facility operations.
• Ensures compliance with local, state, and national codes; reports violations to Engineering.
