Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network in Easton, PA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to inspect, test, maintain, install, repair, and modify hospital systems and equipment to support patient care and facility operations.

You will perform preventive maintenance, coordinate with supervisors and staff, and ensure code compliance. A high school diploma or GED is required, with three years of trades experience; technical school certification can substitute for up to 18 months of experience.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
• Three years of experience in one or more trades found in the Engineering Department preferred.
• Technical school certification may be substituted for up to 18 months experience.
• Valid state issued motor vehicle license.

Responsibilities

• Inspects, tests, maintains, installs, repairs, and modifies systems, equipment and structure within the hospital.
• Performs preventive maintenance as assigned on systems, equipment, and structure within the hospital.
• Coordinates with the supervisor in establishing new preventive maintenance routines and modifications.
• Communicates with supervision, nurses, patients and staff to ensure optimal patient care and environment.
• Maintains good public relations by responding professionally to needs and keeping staff informed on status of work.
• Performs work in accordance with local, state, and national code compliance; uses hand, power, and testing equipment.
