Job summary

Beloit Health System is seeking a General Maintenance II to join the Engineering Team. The role supports high-reliability facilities through corrective and preventive maintenance, with a focus on hospital quality and safety.

The position requires repairing and maintaining HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems, fixtures, and related infrastructure, while organizing work orders and ensuring regulatory compliance. Shift: 1st, 40 hours/week.

Qualifications

• Three years' verifiable experience in mechanics, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Repair, maintain, and install fixtures (faucet, toilet, sink, shower outlets).
• Operate outdoors to clean grounds and manage trash with safety awareness.
• Prioritize tasks and close work orders in the maintenance system.
• Maintain and troubleshoot HVAC equipment, ductwork, and air handling units.
• Install and maintain heating/cooling, filtration, water equipment and pumps.
• Inspect and maintain electrical systems; document results for compliance.
• Troubleshoot kitchen equipment, ice/water and refrigeration equipment; verify operation.
• Plan and place orders for spare parts; maintain inventory.
• Maintain records for inspections, testing, and maintenance per codes.
• Ensure procedures comply with accreditation, CMS, OSHA and regulatory guidelines.
• Containment and infection control practices; prevent spread of infections.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors to ensure timely documentation and testing.
