Job summary

Mars Veterinary Health is seeking a Hospital Maintenance Technician to support hospital facilities in the North Washington, D.C. area. You will identify and perform facility repairs and preventive maintenance to ensure safe, functional spaces for pets and staff.

The role requires coordinating regional maintenance, supervising contractors, and managing materials while traveling as needed. A bachelor’s degree and 3+ years in construction/maintenance are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Facilities Management or a similar field is preferred.
• Three years of experience in Construction or Maintenance are required.
• Working knowledge of construction terms, blueprints, troubleshooting electrical, plumbing, casework, and general building constructions is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain hospital facilities and medical equipment in good condition.
• Perform painting, cabinet repairs, drywall and ceiling fixes, and basic plumbing/electrical tasks.
• Manage maintenance work orders, schedule repairs, and communicate timelines to hospitals and managers.
• Coordinate travel within MVH guidelines and budget; some travel is required.
• Procure and manage maintenance materials and inventory.
