Job summary

Mars Veterinary Health is seeking a Hospital Maintenance Technician to support hospital locations in the North Washington, D.C. area.

You will identify and manage repairs, coordinate preventive maintenance, and ensure facilities meet standards while traveling as needed. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Construction or Facilities Management (preferred) and at least three years of construction/maintenance experience..Live within 30 minutes of the DC area and join a team that supports a

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Construction, Facilities Management or related field.
• Three years of experience in Construction or Maintenance required.
• Knowledge of construction terms, blueprints, and basic electrical/plumbing is required.
• Experience with building construction tools and materials is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain hospital facilities regionally to ensure good condition and operability.
• Identify, manage, perform and track facility repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Manage in-house maintenance work orders, scheduling, timelines, and communications.
• Oversee tile care and regional maintenance programs for flooring.
• Source, hire, and manage painting contractors per standards.
• Perform preventive maintenance on medical equipment and report damages.
• Inspect and document facility damages and variances to plans.
• Communicate repair updates clearly to managers and field leaders.
• Maintain inventory of maintenance materials and coordinate travel.

Education
