Job summary

Mattapan Community Health Center Inc. is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to manage maintenance work orders, preventative and safety tasks for its facilities at 1575 Blue Hill Avenue.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Adherence to safety procedures and codes is necessary.
• Willingness to be on 24/7 emergency standby.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff by following procedures and safety rules.
• Follow Federal, State and local codes and rules for MCHC.
• Be accessible 24/7 for emergencies and related events.
• Identify and address maintenance issues through rounds and department engagement.
• Perform general maintenance on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, data/low-voltage controls, and related systems as qualified.
• Coordinate with outside vendors when applicable.
• Perform preventative maintenance on hospital equipment and inspect components.
• Use hand and power tools and manage inventory of parts and tools.
• Rotate calls on a 24/7 schedule.
