Job summary

Amberwell Health is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform basic repairs and preventive maintenance on building and facilities equipment within the Atchison, KS campus. The role requires self-motivation, the ability to follow instructions, and compliance with health and safety policies.

The position involves work orders, supervision by the Director of Facilities, and adherence to HIPAA guidelines. Qualified candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED, with prior maintenance experience

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED or equivalent; trade school or apprenticeship preferred.
• Experience: Prior maintenance work in building or hospital setting.
• Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Able to handle stressful situations and maintain HIPAA/patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Respond to work orders and notify departments upon completion.
• Maintain hospital preventive maintenance program records.
• Read prints, schematics and wiring diagrams; follow directions.
• Adhere to preventive maintenance schedules for hospital equipment.
• Repair, install, replace and test mechanical equipment.
• Lubricate and clean equipment; assist with electrical installations.
• Maintain hospital and clinic grounds; operate HVAC, plumbing and electrical tasks.
• Other duties as assigned.
