Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a Facilities Supervisor for Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, IL. This full-time, first-shift role oversees department operations, schedules, safety, and regulatory compliance across facilities systems.

You will coordinate construction projects, inspections and maintenance using CMMS, and supervise contractors. Requires 2 years healthcare facilities experience, a high school diploma, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Advanced technical skills in facility maintenance.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Building Automation Systems, Pneumatic Tube Systems and CMMS.
• Understanding of applicable compliance codes and guidelines.
• Ability to engage with patients, families and staff in person.

Responsibilities

• Oversees department operations, sets schedules and responds to service requests, ensuring safety.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, and accrediting standards for facilities operations.
• Coordinates construction projects, communicates interruptions, reviews specs and blueprints, inspects installations, and meets schedules.
• Ensures timely inspection, testing and maintenance of equipment using CMMS and related tools.
• Maintains inspection and maintenance records in systems.
• Provides technical guidance to architects, engineers and contractors on critical systems.
• Reviews teammate performance and customer feedback; supports hiring and growth decisions.
• Offers input on tools, education, or resources to boost team engagement and performance.
• Provides site facilities leadership when others are unavailable.
