Job summary

Advocate Health Care is seeking a Facilities Supervisor at Good Samaritan hospital in Downers Grove, IL. The role is full time on the 1st shift, with hours Monday–Friday 7am–3:30pm and possible on-call for emergent projects.

The supervisor will lead department operations, ensure regulatory compliance, coordinate construction projects, and oversee maintenance activities using CMMS, while mentoring staff and partnering with architects, engineers, and contractors to maintain critical infrastructure.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 2 years healthcare facilities experience or 4 years facilities/maintenance experience.
• Valid Driver’s License is required.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversees department operations, sets schedules, assigns tasks, and addresses safety issues.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, local regulatory and accrediting standards.
• Coordinates construction projects, reviews specs, inspects installations, and tracks schedules.
• Schedules and completes inspections and maintenance for equipment using CMMS and related tools.
• Provides technical support to architects, engineers, and contractors; guides outside contractors on critical systems.
