Job summary

You will perform routine and urgent repairs across electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing systems, and mentor junior staff while upholding Memorial Hermann's commitment to safety, quality, and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years hospital maintenance experience or similar in mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, electronics, or construction trades.
• Ability to read, write and follow oral and/or written instructions.
• Demonstrates commitment to the Partners-in-Caring culture and Memorial Hermann brand.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine servicing/repair to maintain hospital buildings, equipment, furnishings, fixtures and grounds in proper condition as directed.
• Performs urgent, corrective, routine and requisitioned repairs of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems; maintains related records.
• Maintains and repairs HVAC controls and related equipment to maximize efficiency in controlled areas.
• Ensures safety of patients, staff and visitors; adheres to Memorial Hermann policies and standards within budgetary specs.
• Promotes professional growth; serves as preceptor/mentor to less experienced staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
