Job summary

Memorial Hermann Cypress seeks a Maintenance Mechanic to support our team at our newest hospital in Cypress. The role covers all phases of maintenance for buildings, equipment, facilities and the physical plant operation.

Basic qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of experience or a trade school/military background in mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, electrical or related trades.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Experience in mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, electronics or related trades.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine servicing/repair of hospital buildings, equipment, furnishings and grounds.
• Performs urgent, corrective, routine and requested repairs of electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems.
• Maintains and repairs HV/AC controls and related equipment.
• Ensures safety for patients, staff and visitors and adheres to Memorial Hermann policies.
• Supports professional growth and serves as a mentor to less experienced staff.
• Models Memorial Hermann service standards by providing safe, caring and efficient experiences.
