Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for the Dearborn area to perform a wide range of building maintenance tasks across hospital systems, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and sheet metal work. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent to a level of knowledge normally acquired through completion of a high school diploma program or GED and completion of a vocational training program.
• Knowledge of Interim Life Safety (ILSM) and how to identify and implement the process appropriately.

Responsibilities

• Performs safety inspections and repairs across electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and other hospital systems.
• Maintains and repairs building infrastructure, equipment, and furniture; coordinates with other trades as needed.
• Orders supplies and contacts vendors for warranty repairs; participates in emergency and disaster response activities.
