Norristown State Hospital is seeking a Maintenance Repairman 2 to keep critical facilities running safely. This hands-on role uses plumbing, electrical, carpentry and painting skills to support a clean, secure environment and reliable operations for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Two years as Maintenance Repairman 1 or four years in building/plant maintenance with at least two trades.
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training that covers required knowledges, skills, and abilities.
• Valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.

Responsabilités

• Repair piping, fixtures, valves, temperature controls, and related systems across the facility.
• Make minor electrical and mechanical fixes to lighting, machinery, and distribution equipment.
• Remodel surfaces, build structures, and finish materials for long lasting use.
• Prepare surfaces, mix materials, and apply paint, stain, or wallpaper to interior and exterior areas.
• Use and maintain a wide range of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Complete forms accurately, observe safety precautions, and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
