Job summary

Valley Forge Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to perform routine and preventative maintenance on hospital equipment and facilities. You will inspect, repair, and troubleshoot a range of systems to ensure operations run smoothly and safely for patients and staff.

Responsibilities include responding to requests, coordinating with departments, and documenting all activities. On-call duties and emergency response participation are required to maintain a secure hospital

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in maintenance preferred.
• Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other building systems.
• Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to be on-call for emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspecting, repairing, and troubleshooting hospital equipment and facility.
• Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure the continuous and efficient operation of the hospital.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests, addressing issues related to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other building systems.
• Collaborate with other departments to support their maintenance needs and ensure a safe and comfortable environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and equipment updates.
• Participate in emergency response procedures and contribute to a safe and secure hospital environment.
