Valley Presbyterian Hospital is seeking a General Maintenance Worker to support equipment maintenance, repairs, and facility operations across the hospital campus.

The role requires 2+ years of facilities experience, knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems, and the ability to troubleshoot repairs. Candidates must be safety-conscious and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of maintenance or facilities experience (hospital setting preferred).
• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems.
• Understanding of motors, pumps, and mechanical equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs.
• Strong attention to safety and detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsabilités

• Perform maintenance and minor repairs on equipment including motors, pumps, fans, and filters.
• Support electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical system maintenance.
• Assist with installation and repair of fixtures (lighting, sinks, toilets, faucets).
• Maintain and stock maintenance supplies within budget guidelines.
• Support painting, wall repairs, and general facility upkeep.
• Maintain cleanliness of plant areas, supply rooms, and equipment.
• Assist other trades (plumbing, electrical, etc.) as needed.
• Perform safety checks and isolation room testing.
• Ensure compliance with PPE, safety standards, and hospital policies.
• Transport and move equipment or furniture as needed.
