Job summary

Tufts Medicine is seeking a skilled General Facilities Technician to perform maintenance, repair, and construction duties across hospital buildings and grounds. You will work with trades such as electrical, plumbing, carpentry, roofing, painting, and HVAC systems to keep the facility safe and functional.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least 1 year of building maintenance experience, and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Works from written/verbal instructions using specs to perform duties.
• Repair/replacement/installation of hospital infrastructure components.
• Uses welding and plumbing tools and power equipment as needed.
• Maintains records and reports conditions to supervisor.
• Keeps work area clean and follows safety rules.
• Submits preventive maintenance work orders within timeframes.
• Responds to daily maintenance requests from the Service Response System.
• Participates in snow removal and sanding functions.
