Job summary

DHR Health is seeking a Facilities & Support Services technician in Edinburg, TX. This role performs a variety of maintenance duties in and around the hospital buildings and grounds and supports painting, carpentry, and repair projects.

The position requires a High School diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and strong reading, writing, and communication skills. Five years of relevant experience is preferred, with ability to collaborate across nursing, administration, and physician teams.

Qualifications

• High School/GED preferred
• Ability to read, write and follow written and oral instructions.
• Must read, write and speak English.
• Manual dexterity to handle tools.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Ability to communicate clearly with nursing, administration and physicians.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance duties in buildings and grounds of the hospital complex.
• Paints, spackles, textures, and related wall/ceiling tasks.
• Maintains record-keeping for patient rooms and painting/maintenance.
• Mends carpentry, drywall, and framing as needed.
• Organizes spare parts and supplies inventory.
• Provides safety and supports Emergency Preparedness Plans.
