Job summary

Penobscot Valley Hospital is seeking a maintenance-focused team member to support multiple buildings, perform rounds, manage work orders, and assist with HVAC, plumbing, and general facilities tasks. The role includes snow removal, general grounds maintenance, and occasional off-site support.

The position is non-exempt, unionized, and paid hourly with shift differentials. A valid Maine driver's license and ability to read blueprints are preferred requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Maine Driver's license required
• Knowledge of commercial floor care, HVAC, construction, carpentry, grounds maintenance; State of Maine High Pressure Boiler Operator License and ability to read blueprints preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts daily rounds and readings for oxygen and temperature; checks mechanical equipment.
• Completes work orders for preventive, predictive, repair and related tasks across buildings.
• Maintains building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, painting, grounds and snow removal.
