Job summary

Maine Veterans’ Homes in Scarborough, ME is seeking a Maintenance Worker II to join our dedicated facilities team. The role involves performing maintenance and repair work for buildings, grounds and equipment to ensure a safe, functional, and comfortable environment for residents and staff.

Responsibilities include supporting the Environmental Services Manager in regulatory compliance, working a full-time schedule Monday through Friday, and sharing on-call responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Three years of general maintenance and repair experience or training.
• Healthcare environment experience is helpful.
• Valid State of Maine driver’s license required.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair work to buildings, grounds and equipment to maintain a safe, functional, sanitary and comfortable environment.
• Assist Environmental Services Manager in meeting environmental care compliance with applicable regulations.
• Full-time schedule (Monday–Friday) with on-call responsibilities.
