Job summary

Salem Health Hospitals & Clinics in Dallas, Oregon is seeking an associate maintenance engineer to support the reliability and efficiency of our hospital infrastructure. You will perform routine and complex repairs, installations, and modifications to hospital equipment and buildings, and respond to emergencies.

In this team‑oriented role, you’ll document maintenance in our electronic system, work with experienced professionals, and help keep facilities safe and compliant.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Valid Oregon driver’s license for at least two years and eligible for authorization under Salem Health Fleet Safety Program.
• Minimum of four years of building and equipment maintenance or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• With limited supervision, performs a variety of repairs, installations and modifications to hospital equipment and buildings.
• Completes maintenance per manufacturer specifications and hospital standards.
• Performs watch standing activities on building and hospital equipment.
• Responds to and resolves emergency situations on systems and equipment.
• Maintains maintenance records in the electronic maintenance management system (e.g., CMMS).
• Communicates maintenance requests clearly to customers, coworkers and leadership; orders supplies as needed.
• Participates in department committees and training as requested.
• Keeps work areas clean and safe and supports other team members as needed.
