Job summary

Salem Health Hospitals & Clinics is seeking an engineer leader for the Building Operations & Management team in Salem, OR. This full-time, non-exempt role runs 10:00 pm–6:30 am, Monday to Friday, overseeing daily engineering tasks and guiding staff to ensure reliable facilities and patient care support.

The candidate will coordinate preventive maintenance, manage projects, and maintain accurate work records while collaborating with multiple departments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license for at least two years and be 18+.
• Must hold a valid Oregon driver’s license and meet Salem Health Fleet Safety Program requirements within three months of hire.
• Meets Salem Health Fleet Safety Program MVR standards at hire time.
• Minimum of six years of building and equipment maintenance or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead, support and develop staff in completing assignments, providing direction and feedback to leadership.
• Maintain accurate information within the Maintenance Management Program (labor, materials, time-sensitive tasks).
• Coordinate, track and report on projects, preventive maintenance and service requests with internal/external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with coordinators, supervisors, managers, engineers and staff to set priorities and action plans.
• Maintain professional, respectful communication with colleagues and customers.
