Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Preferred Local 39 four-year apprenticeship or trade school certifications in HVAC or related disciplines.
• CFC certificate to be obtained within six months of hire.
• Minimum of two years of related experience and/or training.
• Journeyman-level field service experience in industrial electrical, refrigeration and healthcare preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support physical plant equipment/systems and operations, including life safety equipment.
• Read blueprints, specifications, and manuals to determine proper operation.
• Troubleshoot and problem solve in normal and abnormal situations.
• Operate, adjust, and analyze physical plant equipment using computers and microprocessor devices.
• Perform preventative maintenance on hospital structures and equipment and ensure safety codes.
• Maintain routine records of inspections and repairs.
• Work day, evening, or night shifts as assigned.
• Work independently and inspect facilities and equipment.
