Job summary

Allina Health is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to keep our facilities safe and operational in a 24/7 environment. You will work with the Facilities team to perform maintenance, repairs, and preventive tasks across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

The role requires 2–5 years of maintenance experience (hospital experience preferred), an active Operating/Engineer license or the ability to obtain one within the required timeline.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of maintenance experience; hospital experience preferred for hospital roles.
• Licensed Operating/Engineer required at time of hire; ability to obtain license per department timeline.

Responsibilities

• Maintain building structures, systems, and equipment to prevent downtime.
• Service and repair refrigeration and HVAC systems.
• Install and repair piping, fixtures, and electrical components as needed.
• Perform daily rounds and document inspections, tests, and repairs.
• Order materials and parts as required; assist with life-safety equipment emergencies.
