Job summary

Allina Health is seeking a Facilities Engineer to maintain and operate hospital facilities in a 24/7 environment. You will support the Facilities Team to ensure reliable building systems, patient safety and high service levels.

The role covers mechanical, electrical and plumbing maintenance, with duties including preventive maintenance, emergency repairs and asset inspections. 8-hour night shift, 40 hours per week, and every other weekend rotation provide a consistent schedule.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older with any required competencies.
• 2–5 years of maintenance experience, hospital setting preferred.
• High school diploma required; technical training in engineering preferred.
• 2–5 years in refrigeration cycle, electrical knowledge, welding, HVAC, pneumatic control and fire systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair building structures, systems and equipment.
• Inspect, service and repair refrigeration and HVAC systems.
• Install/repair piping, fixtures, and hardware for gas, steam and plumbing systems.
• Perform electrical replacements and maintenance of electrical equipment.
• Report hazards to prevent injuries and ensure safety.
• Keep records of inspections and repairs for compliance.
