Holy Name Medical Center in Teaneck, NJ is seeking an Environmental Services Supervisor to assist management with daily operations, oversee shifts, and uphold the hospital's cleanliness and safety standards.

You will train and instruct staff across Transport, Linen, Housekeeping, and Waste Management; schedule assignments; ensure proper chemical handling; inspect facility conditions; keep records, and report issues to leadership.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 1 year EVS or Transport experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interact with coworkers, patients, and visitors with compassion, courtesy, and professionalism.
• Instruct and train employees in all aspects of the department, including Transport, Linen, Housekeeping, and Waste Management.
• Act on behalf of the supervisor and report issues or concerns as needed.
• Maintain the highest quality standards for the hospital.
• Oversee overnight shifts, collaborating with other leads or working independently as needed.
• Assist with scheduling and work assignments.
• Ensure staff follow proper procedures for chemical use, cleaning, and equipment care.
• Inspect the hospital’s condition and recommend improvements.
• Monitor staff to ensure compliance with instructions and safety rules.
• Keep written records and submit shift reports.
• Ensure proper waste disposal.
