Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a dedicated EVS technician to clean hospital areas, ensuring rooms, floors, bathrooms and equipment are spotless and ready for patients. The role requires following safety and infection-prevention standards, stocking supplies and assisting with special cleaning projects as needed.

Responsibilities include operating cleaning equipment, maintaining supplies, and collaborating with supervisors to ensure hazardous waste and daily tasks are properly managed.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Previous cleaning experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Thorough cleaning of assigned areas including furniture, tile, fixtures and floors.
• Follow isolation procedures and infection prevention standards.
• Maintain EVS closet, EVS cart and all equipment in order.
• Mix, store and handle cleaning chemicals safely and according to guidelines.
• Move furniture and assist with special cleaning projects and room preparations.
