Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an EVS Tech II for the Environmental Services department at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, IL. This part-time role involves rotating weekends and a 0 hours per week schedule detail, with a defined set of cleaning duties across floors and rooms.

The position requires the ability to operate cleaning equipment, provide excellent customer service, and follow safety guidelines while maintaining hospital cleanliness and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Able to operate small electrical equipment e.g., vacuum cleaners.
• Excellent customer service skills and basic English communication.

Responsibilities

• Scrub, strip, polish and refinishes floors using appropriate equipment.
• Operate various cleaning machines and tools safely and efficiently.
• Remove and dispose of rubbish and waste according to safety guidelines.
• Assist with waste disposal and hazardous waste procedures per hospital policy.
• Maintain clean and sanitary facilities and report supply needs.
