Job summary

Advocate Health’s Environmental Services team is seeking a part-time EVS Tech II to perform floor scrubbing, stripping and refinishing, using a range of electrical floor machines and vacuums. The role requires attention to safety, timely completion of tasks, and the ability to communicate effectively in English with hospital staff.

The position includes benefits, a rotating weekend schedule, and shift details aligned with hospital operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 1–2 years housekeeping experience preferred.
• High level of customer service and ability to communicate in English.
• Comfort with operating basic cleaning equipment and tools.

Responsibilities

• Scrub, strip, polish and refinish floors with appropriate equipment and supplies.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums and floor machines.
• Remove and dispose of waste and maintain clean, safe work areas.
• Respond to department needs and complete assignments on schedule.
• Cross-train for discharge room cleans and OR cleaning as needed.
