Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an EVS Tech II for Advocate Christ Medical Center's Environmental Services. This part-time role includes rotating weekends and responsibilities for scrubbing, stripping, polishing and refinishing floors with various cleaning equipment.

The job requires attention to safety, proper waste handling, and maintaining clean, orderly work areas throughout the hospital. Responsibilities cover floor care, carpet maintenance, and adherence to department processes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; equivalent work experience.
• 1–2 years of housekeeping experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Scrub, strip, polish and refinish floors using appropriate equipment.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums and floor machines.
• Clean or sanitize after emergencies as requested.
• Analyze floor conditions to determine cleaning techniques.
• Maintain floors and carpets per department processes.
• Ensure safe waste disposal and overall cleanliness.
