Job summary

Orlando Health, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Services Technician II to maintain a safe, clean, and healing environment.

You will perform daily room cleaning, patient throughput support, and adherence to infection prevention standards while using health care cleaning best practices. Responsibilities include cleaning and disinfecting patient rooms, operating UV disinfection equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety and infection control guidelines.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in healthcare support services, EVS, hospitality, or a related field.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responds to inquiries or complaints from customers using designated engagement techniques.
• Cleans and disinfects patient rooms and ancillary areas according to procedures and using designated chemicals.
• Operates department technology systems such as Bed Management, as applicable.
• Replenishes supplies, removes waste, and changes curtains as needed.
• Completes daily patient room and bathroom cleaning for discharges/admissions and cleanliness standards.
• Demonstrates knowledge of health care cleaning and disinfection principles and proper chemical use.
