Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking an EVS Technician responsible for comprehensive cleaning of patient areas and facilities. You will perform detailed cleaning tasks, adhere to infection prevention standards, and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies to ensure safe, hygienic environments.

The role requires ability to handle chemicals properly, follow department procedures, and communicate with supervisors regarding safety and supply needs. On-site position with a focus on quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous cleaning experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Thorough cleaning of assigned areas: furniture, tile, fixtures, windows, sinks, toilets, mirrors, showers, floors.
• Observe isolation procedures and Infection Prevention Standards; know chemicals used for different pathogens.
• Maintain EVS closet/cart and equipment; report safety hazards and repairs to supervisor.
