Job summary

Gibson Area Hospital seeks an Environmental Services Technician to maintain cleanliness and sanitation across patient areas, offices, and common spaces. You will prepare solutions, transport supplies, and follow terminal cleaning procedures after patient discharges.

The role requires the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively; EVS experience is desirable. Shift: Sun–Thu, 5:00pm–1:30am, full-time in Gibson City, IL.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write and communicate effectively.
• EVS experience is desirable, but not essential.
• Competency test must be taken within 90 days of hire via Healthstream and renewed yearly.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes wards, rooms, baths, restrooms, and offices.
• Cleans and sanitizes rooms, bathrooms, nursing stations, lounges, and offices.
• Loads service cart, transports to work areas, and prepares cleaning solutions.
• Cleans floors, windows, and fixtures using germicidal solutions.
• Documents cleaning times and areas in monthly/room discharge forms as required.
