Job summary

Gibson Area Hospital & Health Services is seeking an Environmental Services Technician for a full-time shift from 5:30 am to 1:30 pm with weekend and holiday rotation. You will clean and sanitize patient rooms, bathrooms, lounges, and offices according to established procedures.

You will cross-train for different areas (ER, operating suites, X-ray, outpatient, business offices) and transport supplies, load carts, and document cleaning times on monthly charts.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospital cleaning/janitorial services.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes patient rooms, bathrooms, lounges and offices according to procedures.
• Loads service carts, transports supplies, and prepares solutions for cleaning.
• Cleans and sanitizes areas by washing furniture, tiles, fixtures and equipment with germicidal solutions.
• Cross-trains for different work areas (patient rooms, ER, surgery, outpatient, offices, etc.).
• Documents in monthly cleaning charts the time each room/area is cleaned and sanitized.
