Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a Part-time Housekeeper II at Taylor Hospital in Taylor, MI. You will perform basic cleaning tasks to maintain an aseptic, clean, and safe environment for patients, families and staff, rotating weekends with 20 hours weekly.

Responsibilities include cleaning patient rooms and common areas, handling waste, sanitizing surfaces, stocking supplies, and following safety guidelines. Prior high school education preferred; prior hospital experience a plus.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with patients, families, and visitors with a warm, friendly demeanor.
• Cleans patient rooms daily and sanitizes surfaces, removes trash and linen, cleans restrooms.
• Cleans ancillary areas such as nurses’ stations, med rooms, pantries, and offices; empty and sanitize spaces as needed.
• Cleans specialty areas (OR Suites, Pre-Op/Post-Op, ED, ICUs, Labor Delivery, Pediatrics, Mental Health, Oncology, Radiology, Labs, Pharmacy, Kitchen areas, etc.).
• Performs basic cleaning tasks: vacuuming, damp mopping, dusting, stocking supplies, and trash/linen removal; may perform other duties as assigned.
• Uses appropriate chemicals and follows safety guidelines; trained with required tools.
