Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a part-time Housekeeper I at Taylor Hospital to ensure a clean and safe environment for patients and visitors. You will perform routine cleaning, floor maintenance, and terminal cleaning of surgical areas, while handling supplies and housekeeping tasks in a busy hospital setting.

Shift is rotating with 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday on-site at the Taylor site. Experience with floor and carpet care is preferred, and adherence to safety protocols is required.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Interact warmly with patients, families, and visitors.
• Maintain daily and routine hospital flooring (carpets, tile, and hard surfaces).
• Strip, scrub, refinish, and buff hard floor surfaces as needed.
• Shampoo/extract carpets and upholstery; vacuum and damp mop.
• Perform mat care and replacement; clean walls, doors, and frames.
• Conduct terminal cleaning of OR and surgical areas.
• Maintain equipment daily.
• Remove trash and soiled linen; deliver clean linen where required.
• Stock supplies; use chemicals per guidelines.
