Qualifications

• Knowledge of standard cleaning procedures and floor care techniques.
• Ability to safely handle biohazardous and infectious waste per infection control standards.
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment, maintenance, and safe usage.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow cleaning schedules.

Responsibilities

• Performs floor care tasks including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness and safety.
• Collects, removes, and properly disposes of waste following hospital policies.
• Handles soiled linens and replaces with clean bags, ensuring proper containment.
• Cleans and sanitizes patient rooms, restrooms, hallways, and common areas per infection control standards.
• Responds to spills and performs contamination cleanups with proper precautions.
• Moves furniture and equipment as needed for cleaning and maintenance.
• Monitors supply usage and ensures safe storage and usage of cleaning products.
• Communicates maintenance needs to supervisor to ensure timely resolution.
• Maintains cleaning logs and documents completed tasks.
