Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in environmental services, housekeeping, custodial work, or hospital facility maintenance required.
• Knowledge of standard cleaning procedures, chemicals, and floor care techniques.
• Familiarity with handling biohazardous and infectious waste per infection control standards.

Responsibilities

• Performs floor care tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, waxing, and shampooing flooring surfaces.
• Collects, removes, and properly disposes of waste following hospital policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Handles and processes soiled linens, replacing them with clean bags.
• Cleans and sanitizes patient rooms, restrooms, hallways, offices, and common areas per infection control standards.
• Responds to spills and contamination cleanups with proper disinfection and safety measures.
• Moves furniture, floor mats, and other equipment as needed for cleaning or maintenance.
• Monitors cleaning supply usage and ensures safe storage and usage of supplies.
• Communicates maintenance and repair needs to the supervisor or facilities department.
• Maintains accurate cleaning logs and reports completed tasks.
• Performs other duties as assigned and maintains regular attendance.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
