Job summary

Mass General Brigham's facility services team is hiring a Hospital Environmental Services Attendant to maintain cleanliness and safety across Mass General facilities. Based at 66 Blossom Street in Boston, you will support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

The role covers floor care, restrooms, waste handling, and setup for meetings and events. Schedule is Monday to Friday, 6:45 AM–3:15 PM, about 40 hours weekly, with a pay range of $17.71–$24.28 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience with hospital cleaning equipment and chemicals (2–3 years required).
• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Able to work independently but also be a team player; good communication.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, wax, strip, and polish floors; vacuum and shampoo carpets.
• Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, equipment, and woodwork.
• Clean walls, ceilings, windows, blinds, and interior surfaces.
• Empty, clean and sanitize waste and recycling receptacles.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms; replenish supplies.
• Remove litter and debris from building grounds.
• Operate floor care equipment, including stripping and buffing machines.
• Set up tables, chairs, and equipment for meetings and events.
• Identify and report maintenance or repair needs.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
