Job summary

Dayton Children's is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper in the Environmental Services department. The role covers terminal cleaning of rooms after discharge, and cleaning of nursing units, surgical areas, offices, labs, waiting areas and restrooms.

Training will cover cleaning chemicals and safety, with demonstrated competency in usage and disposal. The schedule is full-time, 40 hours weekly, with a 7:00AM–3:30PM shift and rotating weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform terminal cleaning of rooms after patient discharge.
• Clean nursing units, surgical areas, offices, labs, waiting areas and restrooms.
• Make beds, empty trash, wipe equipment, clean furniture, polish floors, vacuum carpets.
• Launder hospital linens and inspect housekeeping equipment daily.
• Receive training on cleaning chemicals and demonstrate proper usage, disposal and safety.
