Job summary

Dayton Children's seeks a Housekeeper II for the 2nd shift (3:00PM - 11:30PM) at the Main Campus. This full-time role focuses on cleaning in patient areas with high customer service standards, using AIDET techniques, and maintaining a safe hospital environment. GED/HS diploma preferred; 0-3 years experience required.

Responsibilities include bed making, trash disposal, cleaning of restrooms, laundering linens, and inventory checks. Rotating weekends/holidays and 40-hour schedule apply.

Qualifications

• Extensive cleaning and sanitation skills.
• Ability to communicate with patients and families.
• Follows hospital safety and chemical usage protocols.

Responsibilities

• Make beds and clean patient areas.
• Empty trash and clean restrooms.
• Wipe equipment, clean furniture and floors, and vacuum carpets.
• Polish floors and launder hospital linens as needed.
• Daily inspection and inventory of housekeeping equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
