Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a diligent cleaning associate to perform patient room cleaning and provide support to multiple departments, ensuring daily operations run smoothly and patient care remains uninterrupted.

The role includes exterior cleaning, restocking dispensers, waste collection, and participation in patient satisfaction initiatives, all while strictly adhering to hospital safety and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Basic reading, writing and effective communication skills.
• Ability to operate power equipment.
• FIT testing may be required, but provided upon hire as needed.

Responsibilities

• Performs timely patient room cleaning and provides cleaning support to the various departments; cleans daily in all areas including discharge cleaning, patient room cleaning, cycle cleaning, office cleaning and all ancillary area cleaning to ensure the continuity and efficiency of patient care and daily operations.
• Cleaning of assigned building exteriors and refilling of dispensers; collection of all receptacles.
• Assists with hospital emergency clean up when needed.
• Actively participates in Patient Satisfaction initiatives to meet department goals.
• Adheres to hospital safety standards in the use of chemicals and equipment and follows policies and regulations.
