Job summary

Parkland Community Health Plan seeks an Environmental Services Technician to maintain a clean, safe environment in the Main Hospital Building – 1st Floor. You will perform sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, trash removal, bed area cleaning, buffing floors, and respond to room turnover after patient discharge.

You will work with patients, visitors, hospital staff and managers to uphold cleanliness standards, using approved products and equipment and reporting supply or maintenance needs promptly.

Qualifications

• Must be able to follow both oral and written directions.
• Must be able to demonstrate sanitation techniques and the use of cleaning materials.
• Able to learn department cleaning techniques within a ninety-day period.

Responsibilities

• Cleans assigned areas to ensure a clean, sanitary and safe environment for patients, visitors and staff.
• Performs sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, trash collection, bed area cleaning and floor detailing.
• Responds to bed tracking to clean rooms after patient discharge for fast turnaround.
• Maintains and uses cleaning supplies and equipment; notifies supervisor for maintenance needs.
